The first problem was water standing at the curb in the street - it covers 4 houses, and has been there for months now. There is no water flowing over the curb, however. The meter box at the street is full of water, and the sprinkler system box, which is right next to the meter, is full of water as well. My house is on a sligth incline, and the shut off valve box that is right next to the house is full of water. I pump it out, and within an hour it is noticeably full again. I've had the sprinkler guys out, who say I do not have a leak in the sprinkler system. I've had plumbers out, who say that if there is a leak, it is so small they cannot detect it - they have determined that it is not a slab leak. I've had the city (Carrollton, Texas) out, and they said the water was not 1/4 inch deep in the street, so they would not work on it. There is too much water to not be a leak! Am I going to have to bite the bullet and have my yard dug up to find the source of all this water. I don't know if the two problems are related. Right now my sprinkler system is turned off. Can it still be a sprinkler problem where the sprinkler system is joined to the city water? But, since water doesn't travel uphill, I need to know what to do about the shut off valve overflow. By the way, my water bill has not increased. Any ideas??
