Best pipes to use (sewage) for beneath concrete slab?

Hi,
This is my first time of building a house and I would like to make sure I do it properly FIRST time around.
I am just about to start digging the foundations and I would like to know what the best pipes are to use for under a concrete slab - size and materials...
Also, can you tell me how many vents I should put in - I will be having 2 toilets. Do I need vents for anything else?
Any help would be much appreciated.
From a 'wet behind the ears' plumber - Jammenique
