How do I cap off water and sewer pipes that come up from the concrete foundation? | |
I am in the process of having my office remodeled and there was a wet bar that we had removed. The hot and cold water pipes were merged into one pipe and the sewer pipe runs next to it. I need to have these pipes capped beneath floor level in the concrete slab so new flooring can be installed. Can I have the pipes cut off below floor level safely, and how do I go about doing it? What all needs to be done in order to accomplish this? Also, how can it be done so that the pipes do not leak at some point down the road? Any info is appreciated.
