Do I have a leaky pipe or faulty water meter? | |
My water bill was higher than usual this month and I know I didn't consume anymore water than usual. The meter was read 2 days ago and by my meter reading as of today I've already ued 400 gallons. I would think that if I have a leak that my floors or wall would be showing signs of this but their not. I've crawled under the floor and there is no sign of any water any where. I've called our water company and they wiil be out nxt week to check the meter. Would it be to costly to call a plumber to have them chack for leaks in the wall?

a easy way to test for leak below ground is to fill a cup of water to its brim leave tap on and keep spout of tap submerged in the water and get someone to turn of your exsternal stopcock outside.and if you have a leak below ground the water will be syphoned out of cup
