bathroom backs up every few months

My bedroom bathroom backs up every few months. The toilet will flush and the shower will make a gurgling sound. The toilet will back up into the shower if it is flushed again. Water will also leak from the bottom of the toilet if it is flushed at this time. If it is left alone for approx. a week then it will be fine. We have had little success snaking it from the shower. Normally it has to be snaked from the vent on the roof. None of the other bathrooms has this problem. I have a septic system. We have had it emptied a few months ago. It did not solve anything. Somebody said something about this being the last bathroom (five total) before emptying into the septic. They also said it had something to do with a vent in the line that gets clogged between the roof vent and the bathroom. What should I do to fix this or who should I call to get it fixed?
